| Fifteen year old Venus Castro is a smart young girl born in unfortunate circumstances to an abusive addict, living in a Dominican neighborhood in New York City. In hopes of improving her life, Venus leaves home to chance her fate on the streets, where she finds the going is a lot tougher than she imagined. When she joins up with a gang of drug dealers to gain food and shelter, she finds that she has chosen a life that is more than she bargained for. |
