| Young-gun federal prosecutor Gina Gallagher (Tracey Needham) wins a monumental, career-making case when she dismantles a Colombian drug cartel. Her victory proves to be tenuous though when the cartel commissions a hit man to even the score. Bad aim sends the bullet intended for Gina into her partner`s head, forcing Gina to seek protective custody. With the help of her guardian -- gruff homicide detective Moe Ryan (Charles Durning) -- Gina uncovers a vast conspiracy linking the cartel out to kill her with several high-level government officials, including those charged with protecting her. With her life in danger and no where to turn, Gina finds an ally in the most unlikely of men, a former mobster (James Belushi) serving time in the state penitentiary. |
